November 6, 2010 – Ehwaz reversed

Ehwaz reversed

Ehwaz is the vowel sound “eh”

Anglo-Saxon rune poem (from ragweedforge.com)

The horse is a joy to princes in the presence of warriors.
A steed in the pride of its hoofs, when rich men on horseback bandy words about it;and it is ever a source of comfort to the restless

Ehwaz reversed appears again today. A sign that the storm is winding down, and that the changes of movement of the past week is now at a more manageable pace, allowing you to adapt, contemplate and move forward thoughtfully, instead of having to be continually active and responsive to the shifting demands of the world around you.

Ehwaz reversed signifies that things are moving slowly. Either because you need to take things slowly, thinking through your course of action and taking a look at things before going forward.
It could also signify that things around you are not yet ready. Perhaps other people’s efforts are not complete yet, and so your are slowed down in waiting for them, and preventing from moving forward at your desired pace.

Ehwaz

Ehwaz is the short “e” sound, like pet

Anglo-Saxon Rune Poem (from ragweedforge.com)

The horse is a joy to princes in the presence of warriors.
A steed in the pride of its hoofs, when rich men on horseback bandy words about it;and it is ever a source of comfort to the restless

Ehwaz reversed says “Slow Down!!!” Now is not the time to rush, hurry, and move through things quickly, and seemingly on auto-pilot. Allows yourself to stop and think things through, or be more conscious in your actions and decisions, because you can’t really count on things to be where you think they ought to be. You may want to make a move in advance. Planning on leaving everything on time, or even early, to account for the slow motion you are going to experience.

April 11 – April 17, 2010 – Ehwaz reversed

Ehwaz reversed

Ehwaz is the short e vowel, as in “get”

Anglo-Saxon Rune Poem (from ragweedforge.com)

The horse is a joy to princes in the presence of warriors.
A steed in the pride of its hoofs, when rich men on horseback bandy words about it;and it is ever a source of comfort to the restless

Ehwaz reversed countenances patience, and to move forward slowly. Sometimes it may tell you to move slowly, other times it just turns out you are in a situation where you have no choice but to move like molasses in January. Either way, avoid acting hastily, don’t make short, fast “spur of the moment” trips, and you might want to double check everything before you leave, or else you might end up forgetting things.

Rune of the Week Feb 28 – March 6

Ehwaz reversed

Ehwaz is the vowel sound e (like get)

Anglo-Saxon Rune Poem (from ragweedforge.com)

The horse is a joy to princes in the presence of warriors.
A steed in the pride of its hoofs, when rich men on horseback bandy words about it;and it is ever a source of comfort to the restless.

Ehwaz translates as the word horse. In it’s reversed form, it indicates that things are moving slowly. It can also show that what is needed is a slow movement, marked with methodical and thoughtful action, instead of haste and seemingly thoughtless action. Nothing is necessarily holding it back, but it just cannot proceed quickly.
